We offer your child the opportunity to make age-appropriate decisions in order to strengthen their self-confidence and independence. Whether it's choosing pen colours or deciding on an activity, we encourage independence and self-confidence through these choices. We encourage each child to try new things in games and activities and praise them for their efforts.

We try to identify the causes and act accordingly.

When a child bites, we stay calm and look for the cause. Often it is frustration, overstimulation or a desire for attention. We explain to the child in simple terms that biting is not okay and show them alternative ways of expressing their feelings, for example through words or gestures. Together with the parents, we develop strategies to positively support the behaviour and encourage positive interactions. With patience and targeted guidance, biting behaviour can usually be overcome.

We support children's growth with healthy eating habits.

We promote healthy eating behaviour by offering the children a variety of healthy options and letting them choose for themselves. Shared mealtimes create positive experiences and strengthen a healthy relationship with food. We encourage children to discover new foods and model healthy eating habits to create a positive eating environment.

Remain patient in challenging moments.

It is normal for children to sometimes display challenging behaviour from an adult's perspective. At such times, we remain patient and calm and respond with empathy. We try to understand the child's feelings and find solutions together. We set clear rules and remain consistent. We strengthen the bond with the child with patience and empathy. We praise the child when it behaves appropriately and thus encourage positive behaviour.

Be a role model for the children through positive behaviour.

Children learn through observation, so we show them through our own behaviour how to interact positively with others. We formulate rules of behaviour clearly and understandably, praise good behaviour and are patient and empathetic. We show the children how conflicts can be resolved respectfully.

Through consistent, recurring routines, we give the children a secure orientation in everyday life.

Children feel safe and secure when they know what to expect. A fixed routine for daily routines such as mealtimes, bedtimes and other daily rituals helps them to settle in better and reduces stress for everyone. We offer regular closeness and attention through cuddles, comforting words and eye contact. This physical and emotional closeness strengthens trust and gives the children the feeling of being loved and safe.

Bye bye dummy/nappy

In consultation with the parents, we carefully prepare each child to say goodbye to the dummy/nappy. To do this, we set a special time to say goodbye and explain to the child that it is time to give up the dummy/nappy. We praise the child for their bravery and offer them comfort during this transition phase by introducing alternative calming methods. With consistency and patience, we support the child in successfully mastering this important step.

Getting dry made easy

Getting dry is an individual and personal journey for every child. We give each child the time they need to discover the process for themselves and remain patient in the process. We encourage regular visits to the toilet, praise any progress and create a positive and supportive atmosphere to make getting dry a pleasant experience for the child.

We promote the independence of every child.

We promote the children's independence by entrusting them with age-appropriate tasks and encouraging them to solve problems independently. We practise social situations through role play and puppet shows. We respect the pace of each child and give them time to familiarise themselves with new situations. In this way, we strengthen the children's self-confidence and ability to take responsibility.

Free play, media free time

We create a stimulating environment in which children can play with a variety of materials that stimulate their creativity and imagination. Unstructured play encourages creative thinking. We encourage children to play together, as free play in groups strengthens social skills such as communication, co-operation and problem solving. Regular free play times, free from digital media, are important so that the children can immerse themselves in their games and benefit from them.
